There are many ways to keep moving. You can do sports, dance or take up
practices like yoga, Pilates, gymnastics or Tai Chi. Daily activities like
walking, going up and down stairs, gardening, housekeeping, running errands and
playing with the kids also keep you moving. What's important is to be
moderately active for at least 30 minutes a day.
Aside from its overall benefits, physical activity can also improve your posture
and balance, thereby reducing the risks of falls and bone fractures.
The best approach is engaging in various weekly activities like aerobics (to
raise your heart rate for at least 10 continuous minutes), toning exercises
(weight lifting) and stretching (to keep your joints healthy).
It's never too late to get started, so get moving and have fun!
