Why are some Yop products taxed?

Since February 1992, all beverages sold in Quebec in units of 600 mL or less (except for unflavoured milk) are considered individual servings and are therefore subject to GST (Goods and Services Tax) and QST (Quebec Sales Tax). However, these same products are not taxed when sold in multipacks.

What's the difference between Yop and yogurt?

There's not much difference, nutritionally speaking, between Yop and yogurt. Yop is simply a yogurt that you drink instead of eating it with a spoon. The real difference lies in the texture of the product, which is a function of the manufacturing process.

Does Yop Drinkable Yogurt freeze well?

While Yop's nutritional value will remain unchanged after freezing, its texture will be substantially altered. Aside from Yoplait Tubes, which are specially formulated to withstand freezing, we do not recommend freezing yogurt.
