What is calcium?
According to Health Canada, "calcium is beneficial in the formation and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth". Calcium is also known to play an even more important role in our physiology. It facilitates blood clotting (essential to the proper healing of wounds), aids nervous system function, stabilizes the heartbeat by regulating blood pressure and plays a leading role in muscle contraction and relaxation.
